Presume you have already mentioned Robert Scoble at Microsoft – would you call him a journalist?

I don’t think Robert was hired BECAUSE he was a blogger, though it didn’t hurt with his visibility. Does Romanesko count? That was back in the day and I’m not sure it’s not journalism …
I know loads of folks where the blog has helped… But none where it was necessarily a deciding factor. Sorry Rick.
That said, if you email Robert Scoble (rscoble@) he may know folk, since he’s rather connected.

I think she’d be interested in hearing from people where it was even an important influence, not necessarily the decisive factor.

Maybe Seb Paquet, as he finally took a job at the National Research Council of Canada, but had other offers as well. I’m sure he’d tell you if you asked.
