Appropriate that Fortune just announced its Best Companies to Work For list, as Dana VanDen Heuvel and the Bloggers’ Rights Blog have both just published black lists of companies that are especially unsympathetic to bloggers (usually in the form of firing them for blogging).

Does anyone know anything about LG Electronics as an employee? At vault.com 4 people stated it was the WORST company to work for. Can anyone verify or deny that?

SMIC, the largest chipmaker in China is also a terrible company to work for.
Friends who got really sick couldn’t check in at the best hospitals in China, had to settle for second rate…
Company continues to change its employee policies, which eventually screws the employees
Some business trips are paid out of employees pockets.. no choice in that..
Power hungry managers who don’t know what the heck their doing..
Serious micromanagment..
SMIC = Cheap… the company is cheap about everything… people are miserable…. don’t come here….

I have worked for over 200 companies in my life.
I have worked for Fortune 100 companies and plenty of MLM-Pyramid companies.
The worst ever in my vast experience of companies to work for is Omni Financial. This is a tax resolution firm that specializes in screwing people. Doesn’t matter if you are a client or an employee, these people will charge a minimum $1250 retainer fee to clients and instruct their employees to “burn down” the fee by charging $300/hr for a task that took 5-10 minutes. They have employees working 50-60 hour weeks for $250/wk(They are on salary)If you ever come across this company, run for the hills, if you think you can change them, forget it. They will pretend to be your friend for the expliit purpose of sucking you dry. They won’t even resolve your tax problem but they will make it much worse.

I worked for an offshoring IT company – tcs (tata). It was totally disorganized, treat their employees like crap, have no planning, and pay next to nothing. The working conditions are terrible and their management is even worse! They will ask their IT consultants (workers)to work 80 hours a week on a pay of 10hrs/week. Luckily I got rid of them in 3 months.

eFrame LLC in Omaha, great product but absolutely pathetic management. Talk about a sweat shop run by a bunch of foul mouthed insecure egos. This pretty faced Omaha based company is rotten to the core. They go thru people like toilet paper, and treat them as such.

Could not agree more about eFrame LLC. Besides the internal issues, they rip off their customers by not providing any services in the manner which they offer them..and find loopholes to not pay vendors. If you don’t believe check the state tax liens for Nebraska.

DFLC is such a shitty firm to work for in Los Angeles. It’s run by a bunch of old white misers who don’t give raises, reviews or bonuses. There is also this psychotic Persian attorney that needs to get a life and grow up.

Bliss Industries is a horrible company to work for. Its such a depressing environment, management has no personality whatsoever – they are impatient, ungrateful, and will find a way to manipulate you out of any bonuses or commissions they owe you. Its basically a command center run by a jerk and his pet stooge ( the so called VP of Operations). Don’t even waste your time applying, the company sucks.

State Farm Insurance. I’ve never seen a company so narcissistic about itself and so simultaneously in denial. Long term employees steadily leaving, taking years of industry knowledge away. Over-process, assembly line mentality. Groupthink galore amongst senior management. Never, ever work here no matter what they offer.

Metavante is a worse company to work. I have been there many years and saw it go from being a pleasant company to one of the worse companies.

DO NOT work for Employer Services Group located in Greenwood Village, CO. This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. Honesty and integrity means nothing here. There is no teamwork, no communication, etc. The owner (not to mention his wife) are complete jerks!!! The owner is crazy – literally. I have never seen someone go from being happy one minute to being in a mad fit of rage the next. The company has seen 5 HR Account Managers come and go. Slowly, all others are leaving as well. The company is barely hanging on and when clients catch on – as they already are, the are going to look elsewhere for a PEO. STAY AWAY from this unstable work environment!!!

don’t ever, ever do contract work for a web-design company called fluidesign. they are incredibly disorganized and will ask for endless rounds of changes. they will withold payment until you do whatever they want. other contractors i’ve worked with have all shared similar horror stories about fluidesign. worst company to do work for. clients and contractors always end up getting screwed over because of their disorganization and incompetent management.

New Employees –
Fire people often especially if you’re a new hired – Beware, you may be fired after 3 months probation. They don’t inform in advance. They will just call you before you leave for home and will tell you not to come again on the next day.
Freelance Contractors –
Beware, they take forever to pay. You’ll have to be after them all the time. It may take more than a montth to get paid and worst part is, they don’t accept their mistake. If you don’t go after them for your money and you’ve left the company, you may not get your paycheck at all…LOL

Robert half company really suck, I called them for over two years and non of the account executives will not return your phone calls. their motto says committed to providing first-rate customer service to employers and job seekers alike, this is bogus, customer service is non existant. I am just fed up with these people.
